VTG are a California-based three-piece industrial
rock band, founded by frontman Lawrence Stone in 2004. Their debut
album, So Beautiful People Look Away, was released in the same
year. Their most recent release, entitled Love is Letting Go, is
six hard-hitting tracks ranging from upbeat and accessible electro rock
at the start, to darker and moodier pieces as the EP goes along. The
vocals are pleasing on the ears (or mine at least!) and reminiscent of
Trent Reznor in places. However, although you can hear the influence in
the music, I think VTG are more catchy and ‘dancey’
than Nine Inch Nails in general.
Love is Letting Go is a fantastic EP for fans of Nine
Inch Nails, IAMX or ‘dirty, sexy, electro
rock’ in general. Best of all, it’s entirely free for a limited time! I
highly recommend checking it out.
Edit: I just noticed that they have made their debut album free for a
limited time (from their website) as well, get them both while you can!
